Words to Avoid:

- essentially
- just
- but
- since
- however
- because
- one (as in 'one can see the effect....')

Words to Use
- perhaps (signals a jump to an interpretation. do not overuse)
- 'we' or 'the reader' (instead of one) - can be interchanged (carefully)
